Holiday Cards

Friday, December 19, 2008

Some years, I can get holiday cards out on time... some years, they are a bit late... other years, they never make it to the post office. This year, I passed the on time and I'm shooting for a bit late (they'll probably arrive after the New Year).

But I feel like I'm doing pretty well as I have all 30 + cards done. I've got about half of them addresses and the letter I normally enclose, about half way complete. Doesn't sound like much, but I'm feeling pretty good about my accomplishment.

This year, I decided to use the stack of pictures that the kids have been drawing. Although, this year... it was all Lyssie's drawings that got used. I just couldn't bring myself to chop up Robbie's which are full, story telling pictures. Those will probably get used for gift wrap... not sure why that seems better to me than to chop them up into cards.

I love how these cards came out. I also love that they are plain - no text on the inside. I won't be signing them either since I'll be sending a letter with them - this means that they can reuse them!

Hope everyone has a great Friday... I'm off to get a few errands done before the next storm hits our area. It's been a fun December so far!
