Muffin Tin Monday - Orange
Monday, February 22, 2010
I missed red last week... but fortunately, I remembered that orange was this week. Granted, my daughter told me that they aren't all orange - she says they are gold and brown. Okay, I was pushing it a little, but I think it still works.
Contents: Chicken (left overs from a restaurant), orange M&Ms (special treat), more chicken, carrots, french fries (left over from the same meal) and goldfish. She just had water, but I put it into an orange cup. She had her days allotment of orange juice in the morning... so I couldn't give her any more.
Is it just me, or do you feel a sense of accomplishment when you use up left overs in the fridge. I sometimes feel like I'm the only one in the house that eats them (and I used to never eat left overs). I feel good about getting extra mileage out of a meal we've already had. I sometimes measure my days success by the number of containers I empty. Sad. I know.

Yes!! It feels great to empty leftover containers! I'm with ya. What is it about leftovers that no one, but me, is willing to eat? Good job!
I can completely relate to getting rid of leftovers, and a muffin tin is such a fun way to present it! I wish I was better at going through the leftovers in the fridge. I would much rather someone eat them then send them down the disposal!
My son gets leftovers a lot. Sometimes a little bit of leftover can be full main dish for him. Nice tin!
i use leftovers for mtm - a lot. especially when there's no theme. looks great!
My daughter critiqued my colors too! I completely understand about the leftovers!
Yes ... using leftovers is a major accomplishment - leading to a great day! I hate it when I pack something into the fridge that I have NO INTENTION of ever eating again - so wasteful! anyhow - what is everyone doing with all the leftover m&ms - kids get orange, mom gets the rest? Good thinkin!
