Tackle it Tuesday

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Well, I'm not really tackling my piles of scraps which is normally the idea behind Tackle it Tuesday... but I have been working on getting things listed in the stores. I've listed several owls and tack sets in on On A Whimm shop, a few crowns in the World of Whimm shop and my dad has been working on getting things posted in the NueToMe shop. I've also started sewing dresses again in preparation for Mill Creek. I hope to post a few of those as well.

I between all this online work, I've also been sewing (as I mentioned) and I've been working on more button stack sets. Going through my buttons is a stress reliever for me and after a long weekend, I really needed it. I have several sets now that need tacks affixed. But I have had several requests for magnets as well. I'm too paranoid to keep unattached magnets in my house (who knows what ideas Lyssie would come up with) - but I was considering just listing some sets without any type of backing so that they can be used for whatever you want. What do you think?

These would obviously sell for less than the tacks since I won't have the cost of the tacks... and I won't have that extra step of affixing them which often adds a bit of time between applying the tack and allowing it dry (and making sure it doesn't slip in the process).

I figure I can add an option in the shop to add tacks if they see a set they would like as tacks. Hmmm... is this too complicated? Or a good addition to the shop?

Kayce, you already know I heartily approve of this idea, but I do have another suggestion for listing. I've seen some button stacks listed for use as embellishments for scrapbookers and card-makers (although none quite as wonderful as yours). Might be another tag to add.

Good luck! I know I want lots!

Have you thought about making them into fancy bobby pins or barretts? Or maybe attached to a hair-tie? They're REALLY cute!
