Muffin Tin Monday
Monday, June 15, 2009
Here it is - another ordinary muffin tin. With the end of school, preparing for vacation, numerous outstanding custom orders and my general poor health... I was feeling uninspired this afternoon. Luckily, the muffin tin itself is a novelty and so that kids were happy with what I pieced together.
Contents: String cheese circles, hotdog, carrots, bananas, edamame and wheat thins.
I'm getting a bit bored with these standard ingredients for our muffin tins so I'm sure the kids will get bored soon as well. Hopefully once we return from California, I'll feel more inspired. For now though, this is probably our last tin for several weeks as it doesn't always happen when we are traveling (I do hope to take them with me though just in case).
Remember to stop by Her Cup Overfloweth for some fun muffin tin meals... I can usually count on them for some fun ideas.
Perhaps I'm a bit sad and uninspired today because I'm less on sewing machine. My husband dropped my machine off this morning and there is a pretty good chance that I won't get it back until I return in a few weeks. I'm hoping the can finish it by Friday though as I love to take my machine with me. For now, I think I'm going to have to pull out Hello Kitty to get me through these tough days (she's my back up sewing machine).
Hope you have a great Monday!

I love the muffin tin posts! They seem like such a novelty, and I know that some of the kids that I babysit would love them!
I was just thinking of a few possibilities of other foods to put in them, and I came up with a few things. You will, of course, have to take the kids dietary needs/preferences into account.
pasta, yogurt, pudding, granola, frozen grapes (perfect cool treat for the warm months!) melon pieces and berries.
Have a good day, and I can't wait to read your next post!
that edamame looks so yummy!
where are you going to in california?
