Blog Award

Here's another blog award I received a while back. I'm finally getting around to responding. Thank you to Confessions of a Mommy Blogger for awarding me with it. It's always nice to hear that people are enjoying my ramblings.

Here are the rules for this award:

a) List 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep! and

b) Pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

OK, so first the 10 honest things about me:

1 - I love water - it's just about all I drink. But I hate in the restaurants when they put lemon in it... I think it ruins it's "taste".

2 - I don't drink coffee but I do drink tea. However, I like it really weak. I don't like it to have too much flavor. I hate the end of a pot of tea.

3 - I'm perfectly happy being at home all week. I hate going places were there are going to be a lot of people. I have to force myself to expose the kids to these types of situations.

4 - I went to my husband's Senior Ball as his date - but we never really dated (in my opinion) until 10 years later.

5 - I'm only half Japanese and I don't know any other language - but I've always considered myself to be Asian.

5 - When I sew, I sew projects by thread color. It can take me weeks to complete a multi-colored project if I don't ever get around to using a certain thread color.

6 - I think I'm addicted to buttons - but I refuse to pay a lot for them. I have seven boxes of them separated by color and a shoe box full of ones that have yet to be sorted. My kids and I spend at least one day a week admiring them.

7 - I used to drive to Yosemite from San Jose every weekend (3 hours each way) because I was dating someone that lived there. Youth = insanity.

8. I used to collect Fisher Price Little People even before I had wanted kids.

9. I think my husband makes the best hamburgers in the world.

10. I have nights where I'm so sensitive to sound that I can't sleep because of the buzzing sound of the electricity in the walls.
