Taking a moment

Sunday, August 26, 2007

These past few days I have been very thankful for both my husband and his mother who is visiting from San Jose. They have both taken the kids and I've had time to work on getting some of my costumes up for my showcase today.

Of course, I have taken advantage and, as is the case with this worn body of mine, I have over done it again. I am now stuck in bed with a terribly painful back (my poor posture over my sewing machine for three or four days seems to have taken it's toll). But... I'm actually enjoying the time in bed. I am finally able to read blogs that I've marked, shop on Etsy a little, and do things like add Etsykids tags to my listings.

So, I'm thinking Christmas shopping right now and Etsy is the perfect place! We have a list of people who are important in our life, people who we like to acknowledge at Christmas time. Many of these people, however, are very hard to buy for. I am thrilled that I am finding many things that would be great... and I have choices! It's nice to not have to go last minute to the shopping mall and make a purchase of something that isn't perfect for them... but will do.

So, if you have people like this on your list. Check out Etsy. Not only are you supporting great artists, but you will also be giving a gift that has been made for that person.

While I am enjoying this time taking it easy... I do hope that I'm up and around by the end of the day. I am sitting here as many ideas are filling my head. I can't wait to start working on all these swirling ideas!
