Seattle Tilth Festival

This was weekend we participated for the first time in the Seattle Tilth Harvest Festival. What a cool event! My husband worked the booth most of the day while I walked the kids around -there was a lot to do and see and I know I really only did half of what was offered.
I'm not a smoothie drinker (I'm not crazy about fruit) and I couldn't convince my son to do this... but I love the idea of mixing your own smoothie with your own peddling.
My son also climbed his first tree. I know - a shame that it took him until he was 8! But really, it's a bit out of character for him... so we were surprised and proud to see him climb up nice and high (higher than I would have preferred since I was not crazy about the idea of having to get him out if he couldn't get down on his own - he did fine though).
My daughter and I made an herb crown (isn't that a great idea! We are going to try this at home). While it was a bit advanced for her, she enjoyed picking the flowers and herbs while I wired them all together. And she loved wearing it!
The produce stands were awesome as well. We got some nice fresh produce. My favorite was the stand that had tons of peppers... we chose a few different varieties (unfortunately I had already forgotten the names of them by the time we got home).
The crowd was great and the people super friendly. Our items were well received. This is an invitation only event for vendors, so we'll see if we have the opportunity to do it again next year. At the very least, we will be attending.
