On a Whimm: Happy Birthday Robbie!

My son turns 7 today... it's amazing how sad and happy I can be at the same time. He's getting to be such a big boy and I'm so proud of him. We had his party this weekend at the beach for him. We lucked out and it turned out to be the perfect night. We roasted marshmallows - it was his first time... definitely something we'll be repeating.

He had a great time with his friends. I'm thankful for all the great friendships we have formed in the 10+ years that we have been here. They are the best! Robbie asked that instead of gifts, people contribute to his goal of doing a zoo adoption. This morning he opened all his cards and gifts and found that not only did he make his goal of the adoption (he'll be donating the money to help the African Wild Dogs), but he'll have a little money left over to get himself something special. He couldn't be more excited.
