Muffin Tin Monday - Alphabet Letters

Monday, June 1, 2009

This week's theme for Muffin Tin Monday over at Her Cup Overfloweth is letters of the alphabet. I have to admit that we did this tin last week when I was desperate for an activity to distract my son from a bad day at school.

He helped me come up with a food for A, B, C, D, E & F - perhaps later today we'll do the next segment of the alphabet (or try since I again didn't prepare).

We came up with Animal Crackers (they are just like oyster crackers in the shape of animals), bananas, corn, Danimals, edamame & french fries. He also used string cheese on his tin to form each letter and pretzels on his sister's tin.

They ate every last bite of their tins - it seems my kids really take to anything that involves letters. Next week is numbers so we'll have to see if they like that just as much.
I have a busy week ahead of me - board meetings for Lyssie's preschool next year, crafty night out, mom in town... oh and that little detail of preparing for a two day show on Friday and Saturday. Tomorrow I'll post details of the show - so if you are local, you should come out and see the many, many EtsyRAINers that will be there.

Very cute...I like how the kids used the pretzels and string cheese to form the letters.
