Muffin Tin Monday - Snowman

Monday, January 5, 2009

I think I out did myself this time. Not only did I do something fun that the kids loved - but I covered all the food groups - yay me! Now, I hope they eat it.

Originally, this was going to be a build your own snowman... but after some thought (and a few moments of picturing the outcome), I decided to build it myself. They would have only been able to build one snowman anyhow... and it would have only resulted in them playing with their food. My worst image was of them having a rice snowball fight.
Contents: grapes for the top of the hat, pepperoni for the brim of the hat, rice balls for the snowballs, string cheese scarves, carrot noses and raisin eyes.

Anyhow, it went over well. They are happily eating and I get a few moments to myself. Happy Monday!

What a super cute idea! So creative and something different to break up the lunch time blues. Smart thought on building it yourself...I could see how things might get a little tricky.
