Haiku #2
Wednesday, November 12, 2008
So, the topic this week is "change". I am very familiar with "change". And I welcome change most of the time. I'm one of those people that if something isn't going right... I not only make a change - but I make a huge change. Like move from San Jose to Washington.
But right now, when I think of change, I think " what can't my kids change their clothes any faster?" or "why is it that their new change of clothes is just as dirty as the last change of clothes?" I know that with a topic of "change" this should be deeper Haiku than it's going to be.
boy in pajamas
seconds before the bus leaves
calmly reading books
Okay, that one is not so good... I'll try for another one.
kids are playing well
errands to run before five
driving screaming kids
Hmmm... I guess I can probably still use some practice.

Ha! Change that boy to girl and bus to car and you have our life! My child will grow up thinking that you always get dressed 2 1/2 minutes before departure.
Thanks for embracing Haiku! And I am not of the opinion that your Haiku has to be "deep." After all, I used Haikus about lint as examples!

P.S. I am definitely stealing the wreath idea. What a great project!
