It's starting to turn

The weather in Seattle is starting to turn - it's preparing us for another winter. We still have our nice days - mid 60s, low 70s - but the mornings and nights are chilly. This means, we need to start thinking about long sleeves, warmer shoes, thicker jackets and cozy scarves. I never wore a scarf until I moved to Washington. I now think it's a necessity here with the cold winds we get.

Today, I posted some arm warmers. These were actually Lyssie's idea. I was making her knee covers (leg warmers) because she is still enjoying her dresses - when she decided that they fit better on her arms. So I stitched a hole in it for her thumb and now she has the cutest little arm warmers. They are going to be useful in the winter! I've listed two pairs in my shop.

So, I need to dig out all the cold weather gear - find all the hats... and maybe even find some new ones. Here are a few of my favorites on Etsy right now... (oh, and they happen to be my fellow EtsyRAINers).

From left to right; Haute Goat (same artist as Art by Norm) Muddy River Girl, Eon Designs, and Spider Felt.

Oh - and I almost forgot! I bought Lyssie the cutest pair of leg warmers from Original Cyn Studios. I secretly want her to be the Wicked Witch for Halloween - so now we just need the black dress (maybe from a recycled tshirt?), a hat and some red shoes. I'm sure she'd love to carry a broom around and take people down at the knees while trick-or-treating.
