Excited about new fabric!

One of my favorite things to do is to go to the fabric store. The only thing better than going to a fabric store these days... is going it alone without kids. I love to walk through all the different colors, textures and patterns and just absorb it all. It inspires me. Believe it or not, I sometime will even walk out without fabric! Okay, it doesn't happen often... but it has.

Lately though, I've found something that I like almost as much as going to the fabric stores. And it's receiving these supply boxes from my mom. She has some great places around her that are so different from here. And it's not like receiving an order of fabric online because 1 - I have no idea what is going to be in a box from my mom and 2 - her boxes almost always have more than just fabric! Sometimes I get yarn in various colors and textures, sometimes I get cool new buttons or beads, sometimes I get new trims... you just never know. And this is because my mom loves the fabric and craft stores just as much as I do!
I like to think that it's fun for her too. To send me a box of fabric and goodies and to see on the website a week or two later (I'm being kind to myself here), her goodies turned into something new and wonderful!

So, here are the latest fabrics she sent me for mermaid tails. I've been having a heck of a time finding any fabrics here that I liked for these mermaid tails that are growing to be more and more popular. It's made me a bit nervous. But, with this new batch of fabric, I am feeling reassured and inspired all over again! By the way, the photos don't do the fabrics justice (I'm not a photographer), but I had to share!
